Meet Dora!
Dora came into contact with Tango for the first time in 2010. Having been involved from a very young age with ballet, gymnastics and the particularly demanding art of aerial acrobatics and ground acrobatics, she had already laid the foundations for absolute harmony in dance.
In 2010 she came to Chania where she met her first teacher, Shalva Kirakosian. Then her talent led her to work with him on a professional level, giving performances at many events and milongas, teaching, while at the same time attending classes and seminars from renowned teachers.
In 2018 and 2020 her love for tango led her to the birthplace of the dance, Argentina, where she got even closer to the tango culture. For Dora, tango is a means of expression that results from the combination of the interaction of bodies, the imagination of the dancers and the alternation of dynamics that responds to the musicality. That is why her teaching consists of lessons in technique, flexibility and interpretation of music. She sees dance as a spontaneous, sensual and creative means of communication between bodies, which is why she supports continuous learning, research and experimentation.
